Company Accountant.

Part-time.

We’re looking for a qualified MAAT accountant to work 1 – 2 days a week out of our Norwich office.

Primary responsibilities

  • Preparation of year end accounts
  • Preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts and cashflow projections
  • Managing company payroll, pensions, insurances and tax returns including payment of wages
  • VAT Returns – calculating and submitting quarterly VAT returns
  • Managing HMRC PAYE filing
  • Ensuring our statutory filing obligations are met on time
  • Banking – ensure correct posting of bank transactions including direct debits, bank transfers, standing orders, supplier payments and customer receipts; bank reconciliation
  • Payments – bank transfers to suppliers and organisations
  • Management of debtors and creditors, instructing legal action if required
  • Working closely with the Leadership Team to ensure our short/medium and long-term financial objectives are met.

Secondary responsibilities

Supervise the work of the Finance Administrator, the FA is responsible for:

  • Sales and Purchase ledger processing
  • Managing and processing company card expenditure and staff expense claims
  • Debt management

Experience

  • Qualified MAAT accountant
  • QuickBooks (for accounts) and Kashflow (for payroll)
  • 5+ years in a similar role
